Handmade Double Bed Blanket, 1950's

Made by hand of local wool, this lovely blanket dates back to the 1950’s. Here in “The Reventino” of the mountains of Calabria where a wood burning fireplace provided home heating , warm coverings were so important. Even today, wood is used to heat our homes and blankets like these provide warmth and comfort, a beautiful memories, too.
